Amniotic fluid is the clear to pale yellow liquid that surrounds your baby throughout pregnancy. It plays a critical role in protecting your baby from injury, allowing room for movement and growth, and supporting the exchange of nutrients, oxygen, and waste between mom and baby.

In most cases, amniotic fluid looks and feels similar to water. However, it can sometimes appear greenish if baby passes meconium in the womb, or slightly blood-tinged, especially during labor. Changes in color or amount are important to mention to your care provider, as amniotic fluid is a key indicator of your baby’s well-being.

In my 9 years as a professional photographer, I’ve learned that this art form never stands still — and neither do I. Over the past 5 years especially, the industry has been flooded with trends, fleeting editing styles, and now even AI tools and filters that make it easy for anyone to churn out “pretty” pictures.

But my work has never been about pretty pictures.

For me, photography is about connection. It’s about capturing real emotion, the quiet moments, the fleeting glances that no filter or algorithm can replicate. It’s about creating art that’s deeply personal — for you, and from me.

I still feel the same fire I felt when I started — maybe even more now, because I know who I am as an artist. I’ve spent years refining my craft, learning not just what makes an image look good, but what makes it feel good.

I came across this image from 2020 and decided to re-edit it yesterday, just for fun. Seeing the difference reminded me how much I’ve grown, how much my style has evolved into something that’s truly my own.

Trends will come and go. AI will get better. Filters will get flashier. But what drives me — and what sets my work apart — is my passion for telling stories and freezing time and memories through honest, timeless, soulful images.

A year ago today, we moved onto this street as the “new family in town,” not knowing just how special our neighborhood would turn out to be. From ladders to seed spreaders, sprinklers to even a tractor—our neighbors didn’t hesitate to lend a hand. The warmth and generosity we've felt here has been something rare and truly beautiful.

Yesterday, I had the absolute privilege of photographing our friends and neighbors, Reade and Courtney, for Reade’s final flight in the F-15. As bittersweet as the day was, it was also filled with pride, strength, and deep emotion. I know it was a big day for Courtney, and I feel so honored that she trusted me to capture such a meaningful chapter in their journey.

Reade and Courtney’s light shines bright—through their kindness, their laughter, and the way they love this life and the people around them. You can feel their presence, their joy, and their connection in every frame.
